James Beatty Obituary

James C. Beatty, 38, of Bentleyville, died Thursday morning, June 6, 2013 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.

He was born February 16, 1975 in Washington, a son of James W. Beatty (Lynn) of West Union, West Virginia and Regina Bular Perkins (Jack) of Washington.

Jim was a 1993 graduate of Washington High School and later graduated from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

He worked as a mechanical designer for several area companies and later for Frac Tech as a line boss in the gas well industry.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bentleyville and the F and A.M. Lodge 237 in Beallsville.

On May 15, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bentleyville, he married Casey Skriba Beatty, who survives.

Also surviving are a brother, Ryan J. Beatty (Jamie) of Morgantown, West Virginia; paternal grandmother, Betty Beatty of Clarksville (Pitt Gas) and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Stanley S. “Riley” Bular, Jr. and Gladys E. Bowman Bular.

Friends are welcome at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 812 Main Street, Bentleyville with Pastor Andy Scott, officiating. The F and A.M. Lodge 237 will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made on behalf of the family to the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home.
