James Allen Nickeson, 77, of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania passed away on September 28, 2023, surrounded by those he loved.
He was born on September 8, 1946 to Alonzo and Mary Alice Lusk Nickeson. Jim was the eldest of six, of which he was preceded in death by Mary Lou Victor (Robert).
His surviving siblings include Ruth Ann Calvey, John Nickeson, Karen (George) Williams and Kenneth (Brenda) Nickeson.
In 1965, Jim enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served until 1968 during the Vietnam War. Following his tour, he returned to Southwestern Pennsylvania and met the love of his life, Linda Mowery.
In 1969, the two married and spent the next 54 years together. Together, they raised three daughters, Amanda Nickeson of Vero Beach, Florida, Alissa Borso (Mike) of Eighty Four and Jennifer Nickeson (Brian Hartmann), of Buffalo, New York.
Jim's grandchildren Riley Nickeson, Regan and Reese Borso meant the world to him. Three years ago, Jim and Linda added Maggie May to their family and Jim and Maggie were inseparable.
Family and friends will be received to remember Jim on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m., with a service at 4 p.m. and a repast immediately following.
