James (Jimbo) J. Woods Jr. 71 passed away unexpectedly in his home on November 4, 2023.
He was born January 1, 1952, a son of the late James J. Woods Sr. and Pauline H. Harris Woods.
Jimbo was a jack of all trades, a mechanic, coal miner, security, constable, and so much more.
He dedicated his life to his family and faith. Jimbo loved being outdoors, an avid hunter, fisherman, loved riding his motorcycles, loved McDonald's coffee, and above all else making everyone smile. He was also strong willed, bull headed, but had a huge heart.
Jimbo, and his late wife Marlene of 25 years, spent the last 20 years raising over 34 foster children.
Surviving are his children, Jessica Rush (Raymond), Randy Tabron (Kalee), Michael Tabron (Missy), Breanna Woods, Cylus Woods, Kortnie Woods, Stephanie Heatley (Sean), Nicole Dunlap (Nick), Cierra Willhoft, Alayah Ford, M'Kenna Willhoft; two brothers John Woods (Kathy) and Paul Woods (Lisa); 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are his two sons, James (Jimmy Joe) Woods III and Nathan Allen Woods; two sisters, Jane Woods Marshman and Paula Woods Lucas.
A memorial service will be held in the future.
