JoAnn (Oreski) Onusko

JoAnn E. Oreski Onusko, 78 of Ellsworth, passed away the morning of Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Penn Highlands – Monongahela Valley Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1943 in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Renshni Oreski.

A graduate of the Charleroi High School, Mrs. Onusko obtained her bachelor’s degree in English from the California University of Pennsylvania.

She taught Advanced Placement English for the Parma City schools in Ohio.

Having a very creative mind, she loved decorating and loved to golf. She was very thoughtful when it came to helping family and others.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Onusko; son John Onusko and his wife Amy Enslow of Garden Valley, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Onusko was the last of her immediate family and, in addition to her parents, her brother Michael Oreski is deceased.

Her family is thankful for the family and friends who assisted Mrs. Onusko during her illness.

A private memorial service will be held in the near future.
