John R. Stankus, Jr., 35 of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born September 30, 1967, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a son of John R. Stankus, Sr. of Bentleyville and Darleen Pyles Bacorn of Morgantown, West Virginia.
A 1985 graduate of Bentworth High School, he attended the Washington Institute of Technology.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Stephanie M. Guthrie of Hampton, Virg.; a brother, Ken L. Clutter of Hampton, Virg.; a great-uncle, John Stankus of Bentleyville; fiancee, Sherry Marshall of Bentleyville; two nieces; a nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are paternal grandparents, Jerry Miroslav and Anna C. Stankus, and maternal grandparents, George C. and Connie V. Pyles.
Friends of John R. Stankus, Jr. of Bentleyville, who died Wednesday, November 20, 2002, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2002, with the Rev. David Kelly, officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
