Joyce Ann (Hess) Rice

Joyce Ann Rice, 70, of Bentleyville, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

She was born in New Eagle on May 14, 1954 to parents Luella and Vernice Hess.

She was preceded in death by mother, Luella Hess, father, Vernice Hess, Sr., and brother Daniel Hess.

Joyce is survived by her soul mate John Huff; sisters, Doris Poling (John Poling), Donas Poling, and Janet Cermak (Rick Cermak); brothers, Vernice Hess, Jr., and Randall Hess; stepchildren, Joanie Danner (Brian Danner), Erin Marinkovich (Kenyon McCracken), and Kelli Hopkins (Kristin Hopkins)

Joyce was Nana to Charles Beadling IV, Emmalin Danner and Logan Danner.

Joyce was a devoted member of the Bentleyville United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women association, and loved to help spread the word of Christ by teaching adult Sunday school for many years.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers, and most of all she loved her Fur Babies.

Per Joyce's request, there will be no viewing, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
