June Lila Haney Barney, 88 of Eighty Four (Ontario), passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in her home.
She was born November 20, 1934 in Flatwoods, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Aaron William Haney and Annis Caroline Wright Smith.
On December 1, 1996, Mrs. Barney retired from Washington Hospital, after 30 years as a Nursing Assistant.
Surviving are four children, Merlene Hutchinson of Ontario, Susan Ann Wyland of Canonsburg, Larry A. Barney (wife Jody) of McDonald, and Lisa Mitchner of Ontario; six grandchildren, Heather Tickle (Phillip), Erik Hutchinson, Roxann Wyland, Ciara Barney (Brandon), Larry Barney, Jr. (Michelle), and Bethney Mitchner (Greg); 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters and a niece Debbie Majewski (Roman).
Deceased are her husband, Alvie M. Barney, Sr.; son, Alvie M. "Butch" Barney, Jr.; grandson, Michael Wyland, Jr.; brother, Ronald Oliver Haney, and a sister, Clara Mae Soisson.
As per Mrs. Barney's wishes, there will be no services.
