Kathryn Townes Obituary
Kathryn D. Wallace Townes, 96, of Bentleyville, was called home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from the Washington County Health Center to join her beloved husband, Richard Townes with their beloved Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born September 29, 1916 in Charleroi, a daughter of Peter J. and Clara A. Mihalek Wallace.
She worked as a private secretary.
Mrs. Townes enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Christian radio, prayer fellowship, gardening and interior decorating.
She also enjoyed blessing people with pictures she made for greeting cards she received from others.
While living in Chula Vista, California, she enjoyed helping those that lived at the Palamoro Apartments.
Mrs. Townes would be forever grateful to her compassionate caregivers in Chula Vista, at Adams Personal Care Home in Brownsville, the Washington County Health Center and her special friend, Clara.
She will be deeply missed by her nephew and niece, who were her guardians and caregivers, Greg and Sue Smiley of Bentleyville.
Also surviving are a sister, Florence Goldstrom of Murrysville and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are sisters, Marjorie L. Smiley and Bernadette Wallace and a brother, Robert Wallace.
