Lena A. Greenfield

Lena A. Pollifroni Greenfield, president of the Bentleyville Borough Council, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Donnell House, Washington at the age of 70.

She was born May 21, 1940 in Bentleyville, a daughter of Antonio D. and Maryann Sicchitano Pollifroni.

A graduate of Bentleyville High School, Mrs. Greenfield attended the Grace Martin Business School in Pittsburgh.

For 26 years, she was the secretary and treasurer for Bentleyville Borough.

She was a member of Ave Maria Parish in Bentleyville

On May 21, 1960, she married G. David Greenfield, who died October 7, 1988.

Surviving are two children, David A. Greenfield (Laura) of Harding and Kimberly G. Sacco (Frank) Bentleyville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and David Sacco and Samuel and Jacob Greenfield; three sisters, Rose Marie Hixenbaugh of Willowick, Ohio, Frances Mannina of (Joseph) of Dunlevy and Antoinette Johns (Ron) of Brunswick, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where a prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 followed at noon by Mass of Christian Burial at Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville with the Rev. Gary W. Krummert, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery of Ave Maria Parish.
