Lillian Zwirek Obituary
Lillian A. Nescott Zwirek, 82, of Ellsworth, died Friday, October 14, 2011 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1929 in North Charleroi, a daughter of Mike and Rose Cucura Nescott.
Mrs. Zwirek was a graduate of Charleroi High School.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Charleroi and the Homemaker's Club and Women's Club, both of Ellsworth.
On February 26, 1949 at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Charleroi, she married Mike Zwirek, who died October 13, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter, Marsha L. Baker (the late Kirby Baker) of Ellsworth; a son, Michael Zwirek (Laura) of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Rachel Baker, Michael Paul Zwirek and Sarah Zwirek; a great-granddaughter, Layla Zwirek; a sister, Dolores Hreha of North Charleroi and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a granddaughter, Lisa Lynne Baker; a brother, David Nescott and sisters, Jean Procko and Nancy Malina.
Friends are welcome from 4 and 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2011 with the Rev. Gregory Peterson, officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1000 Lookout Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022 or a charity of one's choice.
