Margaret Godfrey

Margaret Ansello Godfrey, 90, of Bentleyville, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.

She was born July 22, 1921 in German Township, Fayette County, a daughter of Gabriel and Magdalena Donarunie Ansello.

She attended the Greene Valley Church of God, Carmichaels.

On August 26, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia, she married Robert I. Godfrey, Sr., who died June 27, 2003.

Surviving are two sons, Robert I. Godfrey, Jr. and Larry M. Godfrey, both of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, Hiedi Lynn Konsol, Valerie Dawn Flanigan, George M. Godfrey and Jessica Rene Godfrey; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Konsol, Ava and Lydia Flanigan and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are sisters, Anna Carducci Boswell, Laura McMillen and Carmella Rinaldi and brothers, Martin, Frank and Anthony Ansello.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 15 with Pastor Frank C.
