Marian Rice Obituary

Marian M. Letecki Rice, 74, of Fallowfield Township, Charleroi, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 in the Washington Hospital.

She was born February 8, 1936 in Bentleyville, a daughter of Joseph Letecki, Sr. and Anna Balent Letecki.

She was a graduate of the Ellsworth High School.

Mrs. Rice worked as a short order cook at the former Bentleyville Truck Stop.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and playing bingo.

Surviving are her life-long friend, Bo Rice of Bentleyville; daughter, Jean Myers (Paul) of Bentleyville; son, Ernest Rice of Charleroi; grandchildren, Susan Cotyk (Kevin) of Greensburg, Sandra Rice (fiancee Brian Morgan) of Charleroi, Paul Myers, Jr. and Hannah Myers, both of Bentleyville and Samuel Rice of Charleroi; great-grandchildren, Michael, Hunter and Lexi; brother, Andrew Tokar of Brownsville; aunt Martha Hess of Charleroi and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her sister, Bertha D. Fada; three brothers, Joseph Letecki, Jr., John and Steve Tokar.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 with the Rev.
