Mark D. King, 73, of Bentleyville, passed away Thursday morning, October 30, 2025 in his home.
He was born October 9, 1952, a son of the late John E. King and Rosemarie "Posey" Nemish King.
He was a 1970 graduate of Bentworth High School.
In 1978, Mark began his career as a coal miner beginning with Bethlehem Mines, mine 51, and later Cumberland Mines, where he retired as a foreman.
He was a member of the F&AM Sunset Lodge 237, Washington.
Mark was also a member of several social clubs in Bentleyville.
A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed motorcycles, canoeing, camping, croquet, in addition to playing pool, and especially traveling with his wife, Alana.
Mark enjoyed taking care of his backyard woodland friends.
Surviving are his wife, Alana Gordon King; daughter, Amanda King Blevins (B.J."); grandchildren, Danica and Charlotte Blevins; brother, Jonathan R. King (Sherrie) and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where a Blessing service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2025 with Reverend Michael A. Zavage, officiating.
Interment will follow in Buckingham Cemetery, Deemston Borough.
