Marvin A. (Butch) Sicchitano, 70, of Bentleyville, died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at his home. He was born October 9, 1939 in Bentleyville, a son of the late Bruno A. and Eleanor H. Switz Sicchitano.
He was a 1958 graduate of Bentleyville High School.
Mr. Sicchitano's entire working career was with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville and a lifetime member of the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed most in life by being with his family and tending to his flower garden.
A devoted Pittsburgh Penguins fan, he and his wife were original season ticket holders.
On May 29, 1965 in St. Luke Church, Bentleyville, he married Mary Jane Begansky, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Matt McCracken of Washington and Brenda and Dalibor Psotka of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Kaitlin, Patrick, Austin, Marissa and Noah McCracken and Alexa Psotka; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene B. and Anita Sicchitano of Fredericktown and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Kenneth Lee Sicchitano.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville with Rev. Gary W. Krummert, as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department, 900 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314 or John F. Kennedy Catholic School, 111 West Spruce Street, Washington, PA 15301. Arrangements in care of the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255).
