Mary Joyce "MJ" Fresch Oswalt, 78, of Monroeville, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023.
She was born December 29, 1944, in South Fork, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Raymond Edwin Fresch, Sr., and Mary Pearl Chaney Fresch.
She was a stay-at-home mom and later, for 29 years, worked at the Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville as a patient registration clerk.
She loved sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, playing Scrabble, gardening, flowers, frogs, the color yellow, butterflies, and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
A Methodist by faith, she loved God.
Surviving are her two children Joycelyn Dean (the late John “Moe”) of Brownsville, and Colonel Brian Dean Oswalt (Jennifer) Retired U.S. Air Force of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren Jennifer Pellen (James “J.P.”) and their daughter Taytum; Krista Costanza, Garrett, Noelle, Camden, Mara, Graham, and Piper Oswalt; sister Connie Ann Jenkins of South Fork; former son-in-law Anthony Joseph Costanza of Herminie, former spouse Billy Dean Oswalt, Jr. of Huber Heights, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are an infant grandchild; and siblings Raymond Edwin Fresch, Jr., Robert “Woody” Fresch, Kitty Lou Wyatt, William David “Bill” Fresch, Ronald John Fresch, and Vickie Lynn Knavel.
At Mary Joyce’s request, there will be no services.
