Mary (Moore) Zavislak

Mary Prall Moore Zavislak, 82, of Eighty Four, passed away Friday evening, February 10, 2023 at Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.

She was born May 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Fred B. and Edna P. Miller Moore.

Mrs. Zavislak graduated from Trinity High School, and was a member of the St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick’s Church in Canonsburg.

She retired from Canonsburg Hospital, where she worked for several years.

In her youth, she played women’s softball and volleyball.

An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Mrs. Zavislak enjoyed watching the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.

She loved her dogs and cats, and enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.

Surviving are her husband, John Zavislak; sons, Mark Zavislak (Jane) and Jeff Zavislak (Becca McNinch); grandson, Brent Zavislak; siblings, Cap Moore, Marg Goughenour, Mae Gibson, and Jeanie Woods, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her siblings, Jack Moore, twins, Clarence “Hump” and Fred Moore, and Mildred Wright.

At Mrs. Zavislak’s request, a private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
