Maryanne Roberts

Maryanne Cronin Roberts, 83, of Bentleyville, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Borough.

She was born December 19, 1929 in Jefferson Hills, Allegheny County, a daughter of James Cronin and Anna Seleski Cherok.

She attended the Roosevelt School, Clairton High School and worked at U.S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville.

She enjoyed being with her church friends and the “McDonald’s ladies”.

Surviving are a brother, James Cronin (Trillis) of Brownsville; cousin, Mary Lou Prosser (William) of New Eagle; aunts, Kathryn Pavlack and Frances Cheplic; uncle, Bob Seleski and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deceased are a her grandparents, Steve and Anna Seleski; nephew, John “Rock” Cherok, Jr.; step-father, Leon Cherok; step-brother, John Cherok

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Ave Maria Parish Women’s Guild will pray the Rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
