Mildred Wright Obituary

Mildred Irene Moore Wright, 78, of Eighty Four, Somerset Township, died Thursday morning, September 18, 2014 at her home.

She was born May 24, 1936 in Eighty Four, a daughter of Fred B. and Edna P. Miller Moore.

Mrs. Wright was a graduate of the Trinity High School.

She retired from the Bentworth School District, where she was the baker in the cafeteria.

A former Girl Scout leader, Mrs. Wright enjoyed bowling, the card club and gardening and was the former manager of the concession stand at the Eighty Four Baseball Field.

Her favorite treat was a Root Beer Float.

Surviving are her former husband, Richard D. “Dick” Wright; children, Penny Wright of Eighty Four, Rick Wright of Bentleyville and Jody Barker (Harry) of Eighty Four; granddaughter, Baylee Wright; brother, Cap Moore (the late Sis) of state of Florida, Marg Goughenour (Ed) and Mary Zavislak (John), all of Eighty Four, Mae Gibson (the late Art) of Sharon and Jeanie Woods (the late Jim) of Eighty Four and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers, Jack Moore and twins, Hump and Fred Moore and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 with the Rev. Adamson, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
