Mya arrived at the door in January of 2009 as a stray and never left.
Ever since she has been a member of the Vickless family of Scenery Hill, where she lived with John, Tonya, Matthew, and Morgan.
Mya, a 12-year-old beagle / rottweiler / Labrador mix, passed away on August 3, 2020.
She loved food and lots of attention. She was very smart and she knew that when her daddy was home she wasn’t allowed on the upstairs furniture or in the kitchen. But when daddy wasn’t home, she ruled the house.
You couldn’t leave any food on the tables, counters, or in boxes (as the kids found out when they would move back home from college). The garbage can always had to be put up and she once ate a whole sheet cake from Bethel bakery herself. She loved it when her grandma and Dex visited, because they always snuck her extra treats.
Mya liked to be outside in the sun and she loved to visit with the neighbor dog.
She wasn’t allowed to beg for food but she would stare at you until you looked at her; then she would look away. She thought she was a lap dog, loved belly rubs, and taking over the whole bed.
Every one of her toys had a name and if you told her to “go get piggy” she would fetch that toy.
She was an attack dog that attacked people with kisses.
The most important thing to know about Mya was that she was loved and that she will always be missed.
