Nancy "Nan" Fitch McIlvaine, 87, of Bentleyville, passed away on Friday morning, December 1, 2023 at Washington Hospital.
She was born on September 15, 1936 in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Sherman and Bertha Leonard Fitch.
Nancy was a graduate of the Monongahela High School.
A very important part of her life was the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, where she played the piano and sang for weddings and funerals. She also sang in the choir and was a Clerk of Sessions.
Nancy was a former member of the Mendelsohn Choir and formerly worked at ALCOA, both in Pittsburgh. She also worked for the former Cizmek Dry Cleaning in Bentleyville.
Her husband, Carl E. McIlvaine, passed away December 17, 2002.
Surviving are her sons, Paul McIlvaine of Bentleyville and Scott McIlvaine (Michelle) of Charleroi; eight grandchildren, Kevin McIlvaine (Heather), Kelly McIlvaine, Leah Binder, Hannah Crawford, Alexa Grace McIlvaine, Treigh McIlvaine, Megan McIlvaine, and Bradley McIlvaine; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey McIlvaine, Ryan McIlvaine, Jay Harvey, Sawyer Harvey, Seth Bartholomew, Frankie Binder, and Alex Crawford; a brother, Thomas Fitch of Gastonville, and longtime friend and caregiver, Cheryl Brown.
Deceased is a brother, Sherman Fitch.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2023, with Pastor John Dykstra, officiating.
Interment will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
