Nick Padovich

Nick Padovich, 95, of Fallowfield Township, Charleroi, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Washington Hospital.

He was born June 27, 1913 in Smithton, a son of Thomas, Sr. and Anna Kislen Padovich.

In 1976, he retired from BethEnergy Mines, Inc. and worked at mine 60 as a shuttle car operator.

His wife, Helen Marie Ramoski Padovich, died April 8, 1991.

Surviving are two children and their spouses, James Padovich and wife Linda of Bentleyville and Yvonne Morgovich and husband Tony of Charleroi; two grandsons, Ryan and Jeffrey Morgovich; a brother, Thomas Padovich, Jr. of Masury, Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Frank Krencic of Parkesburg and Mary and Albert Weckoski of Coal Center and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Frank and George Padovich.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, September 20 with the Rev. Gary W. Krummert, pastor of Ave Maria Parish, officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
