Paula Elaine Woods Lucas, 48, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Donnell House, Washington after a courageous ten year battle with cancer.
She was born May 19, 1958 in New Eagle, daughter of the late James Joseph Woods, Sr. and the late Pauline Helen Harris Woods.
She was a graduate of Bentworth High School and a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church, Washington.
A veteran, she served with the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1979 in Germany.
Surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Joseph and Marlene Woods, Jr. and Paul E. and Lisa Woods, all of Lone Pine and John William and Janet Woods of Bentleyville and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased in addition to her parents are a sister, Jane Marshman and a brother and sister who died at birth.
Friends received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc. 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007 with the Rev. Susan Vande Kappelle, pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc.
