Margaret "Peggy" C. Carroll, 89, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 in the emergency department of the Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born March 9, 1921 in Coraopolis, daughter of Francis and Mary Grogan Weisner.
She was a graduate of the Coraopolis High School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Carroll was a member of Ave Maria Parish, former bowler with the Koffee Kegglers and Senior Citizens leagues at the former Tan-O-Bell Lanes, Bentleyville.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, W.A. Carroll; two daughters, Peggy Ann Sculley (Patrick) of San Antonio, Texas and Marian Lese (Joe) of Bentleyville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Arena (Dick) and Mary Waldron, all of Coraopolis and Helen Hartle of Hawaii and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Frank and George Weisner.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 followed at 10 a.m. by Mass of Christian Burial at Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville with the Rev.
