Pete Lambert Obituary

Harry "Pete" Lambert, 71, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his home.


He was born April 14, 1937 in Grandville, a son of the late Robert E. and Eleanor Frankovitch Lambert.


He was a graduate of the Bentleyville High School.


A veteran, he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.


He was employed and retired from U.S. Steel, Irwin works, where he worked as a weigher.


Mr. Lambert was a former member of the Bentleyville Borough council.


He was also a member of the former Carmel Festival Committee and was a coach for youth baseball and softball.


Surviving are his wife, Betty A. Forte Lambert; a son, Dave R. Lambert of Ellsworth; a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle Renee and Joe Rusnak of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, David and Margaret Lambert, Joshua and Rylee Rusnak; a brother, Donald Lambert of Brownsville; a sister, Shirley Marsicano of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008 with the Father William Ilgenfritz, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Charleroi, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery, Fallowfield Township with graveside military rites by American Legion 165, Bentleyville.
