Raymond A. Pscolka, 81, of Bentleyville, passed away Monday evening, January 13, 2025, at UPMC Washington.
He was born August 26, 1943, in Cokeburg, a son of the late Charles Pscolka and Mary Gaso Pscolka.
Ray was a graduate of the Bentleyville-Ellsworth High School and received an associate degree in accounting from Penn Commercial in Washington.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he later served with the U.S. Army National Guard for 31 years as a sergeant first class with the Co. B 876th Engineer Battalion. Ray was a life membership gold card member of the American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville.
He retired after 32 years, from Equitable Gas Company, where he worked as an equipment operator.
Ray was a member of the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish and served on the board of the Pigeon Creek Water Authority.
He enjoyed Polka dancing, helping others when asked, and hunting with his brother Joseph.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Cil Poser Pscolka; his sons, Aaron Pscolka (Tami) of Eighty Four and Ryan Pscolka (Denise) of Salisbury, Maryland; his #1 granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pscolka; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Tony Chrobak
Deceased is a brother Joseph Pscolka.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville with Reverend Michael A. Zavage, as celebrant.
Interment will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, with military honors.
