Robert "Bob" Daniel Hollandsworth, a 59-year resident of Ellsworth, Pennsylvania passed away on the morning of June 24, 2024, at home surrounded by his sons. He was 90.
Bob was born in Barrackville, West Virginia, in 1933, to the late Ross and Marvel Garlow Hollandsworth, one of six wonderful children.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Linda of 63 years.
Bob is survived by his sons Sam Hollandsworth of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Thomas Hollandsworth (Dawn) of West Palm Beach, Florida, and John David Hollandsworth of Tallahassee, Florida, as well as grandchildren Thomas Hollandsworth Jr., Ashley Carroll (Colton), and Jeffrey Hollandsworth.
He is also survived by his sisters Winona Humphrey and Barbara Demyon, and their children, as well as many nieces and nephews from his dearly departed siblings Mary Sizemore, Juanita Snyder, and Edward Hollandsworth.
We would also like to recognize the cherished friendship and neighbors of decades to Eddie and Shirley Egnosak.
In addition to being a Marine Corps Veteran having served three years around the time of the Korean War, Bob spent much of his working life as an electrical foreman with Bethlehem Mines until his retirement in 1997.
He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, athlete, tinkerer, and a wonderful father who will be missed by many.
Our dad requested no services to be held and we will honor that wish.
Our only request is that you say a prayer and think of a fond memory of your time with him. Time passes quickly; hug your loved ones and cherish the time you have with them. We will think of you every day and miss you, Dad. We will see you again with Mom...in time.
