Robert Raymond Mitchell

Robert Raymond Mitchell, 76, of Scenery Hill, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at IHS Greenery of Canonsburg.

He was born March 8, 1931 in Belle Vernon, a son of the late Roy S. and May Olifhant Mitchell.

He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen.

Mr. Mitchell was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville and bowled with the senior league at Linnwood Lanes, Belle Vernon.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Chmura Mitchell; two sons, Robert R. Mitchell, Jr. (Lorraine) of Connecticut and John Mitchell (Catherine) of Scenery Hill; a daughter, Deborah Ann Carl (Jim) of Oregon; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kurt Mitchell (Melba) and Don Mitchell (Judy), all of Belle Vernon; a sister, Dorothy Farkos (Lou) of Charleroi and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sisters, Esther Kistler and Florence Mitchell and a brother, Roy Mitchell.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
