Robert (Buck) Cizmek, 74, of Beallsville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 9, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
Buck was born on February 13, 1948 to Michael and Elsie Cizmek of Bentleyville.
In 1970, he married Jackie Tiberie.
He was a coal miner with Beth Energy and then Consol Energy for 25 years.
After retiring from the mines, he greatly enjoyed spending his time outdoors and above ground. He was an expert gardener, and he always had the most meticulous garden. It was perfection.
Buck enjoyed fishing, hunting, and all of his grandchildren. Since he was a young child, he had a love of Lionel trains. Each Christmas he would transform his basement into a train display.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael (Mickey) Cizmek.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his sister, Janet Dulick; three children, Monica (Sam) Gustovich, Alisha (Chay) Lahew, and Buck (Paige) Cizmek, along with five beautiful grandchildren, Justine, Dani, Bryn, Haven, and Bryer.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022 with the Pastor Ernie DeLuca, officiating.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
