Ronald H Bayer - loving husband, father, grandfather

Ronald H. Bayer, 86, of Washington, formerly of Eighty-Four, died on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

He was born March 1, 1937, in Greentree, the son of Lawrence and Gertrude Vermillion Bayer.

He was a talented interior designer who worked for many different furniture stores in the Pittsburgh area before settling at Colonial Modern (formerly Colonial Gallery), where he worked for over 30 years. He was also an associate of Toni McGonigle Interiors.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Mader Bayer; one son, Neil Bayer (Traci) from Venetia; and two grandchildren Samantha, and Nathan Bayer.

He is also survived by one brother, Robert Bayer (Carol); one sister, Dr. Gertrude Bayer (Carol Haber), and three sisters-in-law, Joretta Bayer Bradford, Rose Pallotta, and Barbara Levenson (Lester), by many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents (Lawrence and Gertrude), are two brothers, Edward Bayer and Richard Bayer; a special cousin John Peter Bayer; sister-in-law Betty Bayer, and two brothers-in-law, Allen Bradford and Edward Pallotta.

The family of Ronald Bayer would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Grand Residence Assisted Living and the Anova Hospice team for their loving care and support throughout his hospice care.

Friends are welcome from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2023. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
