Ronald E. Jones, 79, of Bentleyville, died Thursday evening, December 27, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
He was born June 25, 1933 in Bentleyville, a son of Harry and Barbara Kessler Jones.
In 1995, he retired from Industrial Gasket and Shim in Meadowlands and currently worked as a crossing guard for the Bentworth School District.
A veteran, Mr. Jones served as a corporal with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Maroney Jones; six children, Ronald J. Jones (Marion) of Centerville, Mark Yurkovich of Bentleyville, David Yurkovich of Belle Vernon, Kathleen Kyle (Robert) of Charleroi, Jo Ann Yurkovich of Temple City, California and Leonard Yurkovich (Sherry) of Charleroi; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
Deceased is a daughter, Denise Jaycox.
