Roy Ray Riggle, 37, of Bentleyville, died unexpectedly Monday, February 9, 2009, at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1971 in Charleroi, a son of Donald K. and Edith E. Kearns Riggle of Bentleyville.
He was a graduate of Bentworth High School, where he was a member of the honor society and attended the University of Pittsburgh.
Roy was a past member of the Ginger Hill 4H.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Donald K. Riggle, Jr. (Teresa) of Orion, Ill; two step-nieces, Alicia and Julianne Teerlinck; two uncles; an aunt and several cousins.
Deceased are his paternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret Riggle and maternal grandparents, Ray and Clara Kearns.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2009 with the Rev. Tom Hoeke, pastor of Edwards Chapel, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery, Fallowfield Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GBS/CIDP Foundation International, The Holly Bld., 104 1/2 Forrest Ave., Narbeth, PA 19072.
