Scott J. Kalchthaler

Scott J. Kalchthaler, 48, of Cokeburg, died on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Mon Health in Morgantown, West Virginia surrounded by his family.

He was born in Washington Hospital on May 28, 1975 to Dawn and Joseph Kalchthaler.

He graduated from Bentworth High School in 1993.

After graduation, Scott enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and served for four years.

He worked various jobs with the most recent working at APC as a laborer and truck driver.

Scott loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.

He is survived by his parents Dawn McCracken Piergiovanni (Paul) and Joe (Jeanine); brother Adam (Sharee); sister Tracy (Mike); step- sisters Brittney (Jim) and Jessica.

Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Hunter, Max, Gavin, Hannah, Grace, Lola, Lacy, Liam and Madison and many aunts and uncles. He was known to his nieces and nephews by Knucklehead, Bojangles and Rick.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Don and Vivian McCracken; paternal grandparents Ralph and Jennie Kalchthaler; uncles Ralph Kalchthaler, Gary and Kenneth McCracken.

Per Scott's request, there will be no services and a private family memorial.
