Stella Magurany

Stella Bogdewic Magurany, 94, formerly of Ellsworth, died Friday, January 18, 2013 in North Carolina.

She was born September 3, 1918 in Bentleyville, a daughter of Stephan and Helen Cierebiej Bogdewic.

Mrs. Magurany was a member of the Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville.

Her husband, John Magurany, died in 1992.

Surviving are three children, Barbara Lado (John), Carole Reilly (Terrence) and Jack Magurany (Jeanne); six grandchildren, John, Michele, Kristin, Adam, James and Stephen; three great-grandchildren, Katarina, Gillian and Samantha; a brother, Bruno J. Bogdewic; a sister, Helen Hrutkay and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Steve and Joseph Bogdewic.

Friends are welcome at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 23 and for a prayer service at 10:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, Richeyville with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
