Slyvester "Sly" Tyler Jr., beloved son of Karen Tyler and Slyvester Tyler Sr., passed away on March 29, 2026, after bravely battling ongoing health conditions.
Born on September 11, 1965, Sly lived a life filled with love, resilience, and a deep connection to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karen Tyler and Slyvester Tyler Sr., and his son, Daywan Tyler.
Sly leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever, including his three brothers, Carmen Tyler, Chuck Tyler, and Wendell Tyler; aunt Gwen Bailey and the mother of his children, Dori Leonberger. He was a proud and devoted father to his two sons, Rashaad Jones and Adrian Tyler, and his daughter, McKenna Tyler. His children were his world, and he found great joy in spending time with them.
He especially loved going to sports games and taking vacations with his sons, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
He is also survived by his nephews: Josh (Kelsey) Tyler, Tony (Kristina) Tyler, Ian (Lena) Tyler, and CJ (Ann) Tyler, as well as his best friends, Tony and JR.
Sly shared a special bond with his extended family and held a close place in the hearts of many relatives and friends who loved him dearly. His warm smile, kind heart, and the love he gave so freely touched so many lives.
Sly will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, and the way he made those around him feel loved and valued. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255. A service will be immediately following the visitation.
Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
