Teresa Yerace

Teresa Yerace, 97, of Evans, Georgia, formerly of Scenery Hill, died Monday, May 15, 2017.

She was born September 13, 1919 in Bivongi, Italy.

She was a member of Saint Teresa of Avila Church in Grovetown, Georgia.

Mrs. Yerace was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends, and gardening was her passion. Many neighbors looked forward to fresh vegetables each year until she was no longer able to garden at age 95.

She was married to Bruno Yerace, who passed away March 30, 1982.

Surviving are a son, Anthony Yerace of Erie, Pennsylvania; daughter Mary Yerace (Craig Hamilton) of Evans, Georgia; grandson Clyde "Butch" (Brittany) and great-grandson Luca of Erie, Pennsylvania, and granddaughter Jenna Hamilton of Westminster, Colorado.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 with the Reverend Paul J. Grunebach, Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish. A procession will follow to Scenery Hill Cemetery for a graveside committal service.
