Tony Biscardi

Tony Biscardi, 89, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Washington Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1917 in Van Voorhis, a son of James and Lucy Biscardi.

He retired from Bethlehem Mines, mine 60 in Somerset Township, after 45 years of service.

He was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 1197, Bentworth Senior Citizens, Independent Club, Bentleyville and Moose Lodge 1625, Cokeburg.

His wife, Antoinette Forte Biscardi, died September 27, 1991.

Surviving are three children, Joe Biscardi and wife Cheryl of Charleroi, Jim Biscardi and wife Linda of Cleveland, Ohio and Rose Moore and husband Bob of Fredericktown; five grandchildren, Melissa Tomko, Joe, Michael and David Biscardi and Leah Moore and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brother, Joseph Biscardi and a sister, Mary Herman.

Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc. 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bentworth Senior Citizens, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314 or the Washington County Humane Society, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
