Violet (Frank) Organiscak

Violet V. Organiscak, 91, of Bentleyville, passed away Saturday morning, May 4, 2024 in Bella Healthcare Center, Uniontown.

She was born June 20, 1932 in Brownsville, to George J. Frank and Emma Zayak Frank of Daisytown.

Violet was a graduate of California Community High School, Class of 1950.

She married Frank J. Organiscak on October 23, 1954. They were members of the former St. Clemens Catholic Church in Ellsworth, and later Violet was a parishioner at Saint Katharine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville.

A mother of eight, grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 17, and great-great grandmother of three, her family and friends lovingly referred to her as Mam.

Violet is survived by three daughters, Renee C. Lyons of Altoona, Cheryl A. Barath of Brownsville, and Lori A. Organiscak of Bentleyville; son David J. Organiscak (Deborah) of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; brother George Frank Jr. (Shirley) of California, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by infant daughter Linda Lee Organiscak; two sons Frank, Jr., and Richard J. Organiscak; daughter Mary Jo Rudy and two granddaughters Natalie and Nicole Rudy; sister Lillian Cifone and brother Robert Frank.

Mam traveled extensively around the country and abroad to stay connected with family members. She was a bingo enthusiast and was blessed with special friendships that spanned her lifetime.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, May 11, 2024, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant.

A procession will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela for the Rite of Committal service.
