Mrs. Emily Lee Denny, age 91 of Bentleyville, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Donnell House in Washington.
Mrs. Denny was born on May 24, 1932 in Charleroi. She is the daughter of the late Kenneth Donald and Minnie Belle Franks Metz.
Mrs. Denny married William R. Denny on November 23, 1957 in Bentleyville.
Mrs. Denny, along with her late husband, volunteered at the Washington County Food Bank and Ellsworth Food Pantry.
She was an active member of Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church and often volunteered to prepare meals and participate in fund raising activities.
She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Cocoa and feeding and watching Hummingbirds and was an avid Steelers fan.
Mrs. Denny is survived by her children, William T. Denny of Bentleyville, Janet Weaver, and spouse William Weaver of Bentleyville; grandchild, William Weaver, and spouse Kelly and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Jaxon Weaver of Charleroi.
Along with her spouse, William R. Denny, Mrs. Denny was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Charles T. Denny, sister Nancy N. Snyder and brother Teddy Metz.
Friends are welcome from 10:30 to 11 am Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Road, Eighty Four, where a funeral service will follow with Pastor Fran Skariot, officiating.
A procession will follow to Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora for a Committal service.
